5 Ways to Make the Most of Your Venue Space

Whether you’re having an open air wedding in the woods, a beautiful tented wedding, or a wedding in a breathtaking building, there are countless ways to create an amazing space at your venue. Here are 5 tips and tricks to create the best vibes with extra space that you may have in your venue.

Lighting:

Lighting can change not only the way your venue looks but also creates the entire vibe of your wedding. There is so much you can do to play with lighting from simple market lights strung above your dance floor or a stack of baskets with candle fixtures covering them at your reception.

Mix up the tables:

Every venue provides you with a floor plan. Before you start to plan exactly where you want your tables to be placed, play around with cut out construction paper on top of the floor plan. This gives you options for multiple floor arrangements.

Designate a kids area:

If you decide to have a wedding that is not 21 and over, designate a fun kids area so you can also maintain the class and formal feel to the adult side of your venue. Here you can add activities and games to ensure that the children are entertained.

Add lounge seating:

Lounge seating can be added to your venues in so many different ways. Whether it’s a teepee at an outside location with couches and side tables or a cute little lounge area set up in the extra space of your tent it’s a great way to give your guests a comfy place to hang out and take a break from dancing.

Photo booth:

A photo booth is a great way to engage your guests and fill in the empty corner in your venue! You can even make a photo booth a really fun DIY project with your bridal party before the big day. Bring your polaroid camera, a bunch of film, and some fun props for guests to leave one of their photos in a guest book with a cute message.
