We look forward to being a part of your journey!
“If you’re looking for a warm and welcoming place to have a winter wedding, Chalet View Lodge could not be a better choice. Bob and Carrie Hickman, along with their friendly and accommodating staff, handled our event from beginning to end and were an integral part of our beautiful, intimate and memorable wedding weekend. We held the rehearsal dinner on Friday in the main lodge with close to 50 guests. With live music, a full bar and wood fired pizza, it was a perfect pre-wedding event. On Saturday, despite the chill of December, we had an intimate and cozy ceremony on the back patio with the white lights and candles…absolutely beautiful. That evening our guests strolled over to the event room for the fabulous reception. It could not have been more convenient or perfect. Everything exceded my expectations from the deluxe accommodations to the flexibility of the staff. It was such a wonderful time for our entire family and friends. We have already been back to the property a few times to enjoy the other seasons and will continue to make Chalet View Lodge part of our annual travel plans!”

“This lovely little lodge in the woods was the site of our wedding and we couldn’t be happier to get back. My wife grew up just outside of Graeagle in Quincy and when we found this site two years ago, we couldn’t have been happier. The accommodations range from cozy and rustic to four stars. The food they serve blew our socks off when we went for tasting before our wedding and we were ecstatic to serve it to our guests. However, the most unique aspect of Chalet View is the welcome home feeling you get from proprietors Carrie and Bob. From the first time we met the owners it was obvious that their #1 goal was our comfort and satisfaction. All of our business dealings with the wedding and on our return were like dealing with old friends even though we’ve really only met a couple of times. We can’t say enough nice things about Chalet View Lodge or its ownership. Highly recommended for weddings and highly recommended for a quiet weekend getaway. We are planning to go back for our anniversary next year.”
Thank you Chalet View!

“I just got married at the Chalet View Lodge this past weekend and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. The venue was amazing. Originally, the wedding and reception were going to be outside, but due to a storm, everything had to be rearranged the day of the actual wedding. Carrie and Bob were fantastic. They helped with everything and were always happy to do so. The wedding went off without a hitch and was better than I even expected. What a gorgeous place with spectacular staff.”

“If you are trying to plan the perfect mountain wedding, look no further than the Chalet View Lodge. The impeccably kept grounds at the Chalet View allowed us to play games, say our vows in a beautiful ceremony, enjoy an amazing outdoor sunset dinner complete with chandeliers and a provided a rocking dance floor under the stars. Accommodating and cheerful, the staff at the Chalet View worked incredibly hard to make our wedding happen. Our guests raved about the natural beauty of the location, the great rooms and service and the delicious food on site. We loved how easy and accessible the staff was to answer our many questions and requests. The vision we had for our big day was not only met, but exceeded because of the tireless efforts of everyone at the Chalet View. Thanks so much for everything! ”

This was the second time our group stayed at the Chalet View Lodge for our annual management retreat, and we once again had a most enjoyable time. The Lodge accommodations are excellent, with separate sleeping areas and one or two bathrooms so we could double up our guests and still provide privacy. The activities available on property are many, varied and fun. Our guests relaxed by the pool; practiced their golf swing on the 9 hole course to prepare for the big day at Plumas Pines Golf Resort; zipped on the fun little zip line; found a quiet spot to meditate amongst the beautiful serene trees; played a bocce / horseshoe toss competition that got very spirited; hung out and told stories by the fire pit at night and still there were lots of other activities that we didn’t even get a chance to do. The food was also excellent! Breakfast and lunch were basic and easy. Our dinner at The Grill Restaurant on property was amazing! We started with delicious thin crust pizzas and grilled prawns that were gobbled up while we played bocce and horseshoes, then sat down to dinner on the patio. The filet mignon was done to perfection and the salmon was moist and tasty. All our guests raved about the dinner! Great job chef for your first big dinner group! Organizing the event with Carrie was easy and she delivered on all the details I requested. Megan, Bob and Jill were super helpful and accommodating for all our needs during our stay. I can’t say enough about how friendly and accommodating everyone at the Lodge was whenever any of our guests had a request or needed something. Thanks again for a most enjoyable and memorable stay, and we look forward to coming back to the Lodge for another retreat in the future.
